Pelicans Perch is located on Moore Street just off Arnold and 3 blocks north of the Fred Meyer Shopping Center in Brookings, Oregon.
The 24-unit complex is a low-income senior housing Tax Credit project; designated for occupants 62 years of age or older that is capable and desire to live independently. The complex is designed to serve the special needs of seniors.
The project contains 22 one-bedroom apartments, which have 742 square feet of living space, and 2 two-bedroom, two-baths apartments, which have 1104 square feet of living space. All units have a kitchen, dining room, and a living room. Handicap-equipped units have ADA approved showers, lowered light switches and appliances designed for wheelchair users. Apartments have views of landscape; some have vistas of the ocean.
Recreational Room - A multi-purpose room is available for meetings, hobby/craft classes, and wellness and exercise programs. Regularly planned activities and social gatherings, guided by the interest of those who reside at Pelicans Perch will have full use of this room. The recreation room is on the third floor and has a great view of the ocean.
Social Services - South Coast Business Employment Corporations Area Agency on Aging (SCBEC/AAA) will have an office on-site to gather and provide services to residents. SCBEC/AAA works closely with the State Senior and Disabled Services
Cable Television - Cable television hook-ups are provided for a small monthly fee for expanded basic cable TV.
Laundry Services - A laundry room is set up for the use of all residents.
Resident Eligibility Requirements - Applicants will need to be income qualify to be eligible to reside at Pelicans Perch Apartments. Applications will be taken on a first come first service basis to determine placement. Placement is as follows:
Waiting List - To be placed on the waiting list of Pelicans Perch Apartments, a completed application must be submitted. Written notification will be sent stating eligibility. If deemed ineligible, reasons for which will be stated and you will be given the opportunity to remedy the cause.
It is important to keep us current on your phone number and address should this change from the application information. If we cannot contact you by phone, you may be removed from the waiting list.
