Wm. R. Lovelace Construction, Inc. has been in the low-income housing field since 1984, developing, building, and managing multi-family properties throughout the state. Over this period the company has consistently developed and built projects on time and on budget over this, and grown a portfolio of properties that we own and manage. Specifically:

  • We are familiar with the various public-funding sources supporting low-income housing development and have successfully managed the myriad of responsibilities associated with each.

  • We pride ourselves on our proactive manner to property development and management and believe success has resulted from this business model.

  • We have dedicated virtually all our time to the affordable housing field and take seriously the responsibilities in delivering, managing, and owning a superior product that residents, public funders, and community view positively.

    • Lovelace Construction has completed over 1,000 multi-family units, and a few commercial office buildings in the state utilizing HOME, Trust Funds, OAHTC, LIHTC, weatherization funding, and permanent debt. Of the 34 projects we have completed, 30 of them involved LIHTC. We retain a staff of over 10 to handle administrative issues related to construction, and property management. Additionally, there are 5 construction employees who have been with the company for 5 – 12 years, and a good number who have been employed for 2 – 5 – years. Employees travel throughout the state to handle new construction and rehabilitation projects, as well as most capital repairs on projects we already own and manage.

    Bill Lovelace, President, frequently serves on advisory boards and committees pertaining to standards and trends in the affordable housing industry.
